Schutt Scorpion Softball Chest Protector - Closeout

The Scorpion Chest Protector was introduced in 2008 - an innovative chest protector truly designed for female fastpitch players. A true fit that follows the contours of the player's body, giving you protection where it's needed most.
"H-Back" Harness System:
The unique harness system hugs your back and shoulders; it doesn't billow up. Instead, it comforms to the shape of your shoulders for maximum protection and coverage.
Extra Protection:
Schutt beefed up protection right over the chest and heart where direct impacts can be especially dangerous. The unique padding system also gives you maximum protection but still has enough "feel" to it to allow you to deaden the balls in the dirt.
Customizable Shoulder Caps:
You can customize the shoulder caps as you see fit, moving them around or taking them off completely.
Contour Design:
New design is more cut and form fitting. The Contour Design of the Scorpion wraps around your body, without impeding your movement, giving you protection all over.
Coolmax Lining:
Catcher's gear can get awfully hot when you're behind the plate. Schutt's Coolmax Lining helps air circulate through the Scorpion, reducing heat build-up and helping you stay cool. Plus, ventilation holes have been punched throughout the padding to increase air circulation.
Hook & Loop Attachment:
No more messing with tangled straps or clips! The fast hook and loop attachment system means you can take off (or put on) the Scorpion with a flick of the wrist.

To properly measure for your chest protector
Start from the base of your neck and measure down to right above the waist line.
It is important to take the measurement with light clothing on, a sweatshirt or jacket will cause an inaccurate measurement. This measurement does not include the (tail) groin protector. The reason you measure all the way to the waist is to cover the stomach from potential injuries.

Purchased this for my 10 year old daughter. She loves the look, and fit. I love the quality and the protection it gives. This is the first item I have ever purchased made by SCHUTT. I have since purchased everything for a complete catchers set as well as a PT batting helmet. Very pleased with the quality of all SCHUTT products.

This chest protector provides the best light, secured fit and depth of coverage and protection. The only draw back is the velcro fasteners do not last longer than a year and replacement is annual. But the protection is so good that it has been worth the expense.
