To properly measure for your chest protector
Start from the base of your neck and measure down to right above the waist line.
It is important to take the measurement with light clothing on, a sweatshirt or jacket will cause an inaccurate measurement. This measurement does not include the (tail) groin protector. The reason you measure all the way to the waist is to cover the stomach from potential injuries.

This is without a doubt the best chest protector my son has ever worn playing catcher. Blocked balls are directed down into the dirt in front of the plate and it tends to deaden the spin to keep them closer. Which re-enforces my philosophy runner goes catcher throws, thou shall not steal. It is also a cooler vest for our hot humid climate.

equipment fits comfortable, tight, makes agility moves more easy due to the fit and hinge points, extra padding is comfortable and helps in long innings. always helps that gear looks good too. only draw back is that I would like to have a sleeve or bag to protect my investment - odd shape of equipment it is not easy to find something to sleeve it in to store inside my big gear bag. extra pad up thigh sold me on the leg guards.
