With its wear-resistant, highly polishable, 100% genuine leather construction, REACTION PRO-PLATE MID is a great call for the officiating professional with an eye on comfort and protection - the legendary comfort of a 3N2 turf shoe and the protection of a rugged carbon-fiber metatarsal plate backed by an impact-absorbing cushion and a reinforced carbon-fiber toe. At only 18.7 ounces per shoe, it may be the lightest plated umpire shoe in the game. Its trademark midsole has been specifically designed to reduce the knee and joint stress associated with game-after-game action. Features the black on black color scheme umpires prefer and is designed to minimize dirt build-up for easy cleaning.

had to replace my plate shoes after 9 years of service. I was looking for another pair from the same manufacturer, unfortunately, they did not have my shoe size in stock so I selected the 3n2 Reaction Pro Plate Mid Umpire softball Shoe. I was pleasantly surprised when the pair of shoes arrived, as the weight of the shoes is so much lighter than my former pair of plate shoes. The fit of th shoes is perfect and they are very comfortable to wear. I have worn the new shoes in the past 8 games that I worked the plate and I am very happy to have made the purchase. I like the shoes they are a little to tight. I think I should have gotten a size bigger.But they are light have good traction I like that they are totally black.
