We met our original goal to introduce a maple wood baseball bat to Major League Baseball. Since prototype testing in 1996 we realized that we had a bat that was tougher and will last longer than the ash bat traditionally in use. We make our bats from the best grade maple available.
Sam's Select Stock bats are professional quality produced from select maple logs. Our cutter takes great care to cut our wood with straight grain to maximize strength.
The Sam Bat logo is universally recognized and symbolizes what is undoubtedly the best baseball bat in the world.

My son likes the bat, it's a bit heavier than some other wood bats, but it had some good pop when he used it last year when he faced slower pitchers. He used his metal bat against the faster kids.
