It's a throat guard, it'll work fine. I always buy them depending on the color and size needed choosing the one with the lowest price, which was this one. Avoid the Rawlings ones with the leather straps though, I had a lot of those break in our league last year. I ended up replacing them with zip ties and shoestrings. These Champros came with basic style of attachments, plastic band with snaps.
