I must say that I was skeptical, since Champro has had a reputation of being lower end, sort of beginning type equipment. But I took a chance based on some internet chatter on it. That changed quite a bit with this mask. Although I did change out the pads for Wilson wrap around pads, this mask is PHENOMENAL. I have taken monster foul ball hits and it has stood the test every time. I'm talking foul balls from 90 mph pitching. Also, I noticed that the vision is much better than I thought. When I measured the opening between the two horizontal bars, I found it was a tad bit wider than all the other masks I have used in the past. The vision is outstanding, probably because of this very small difference. It is also the lightest mask ever, and I couldn't be happier with it. I am thinking about buying a second one...just because. It is that good! If you are in the market, and comparing this to the Diamond (which I have), buy this one.
