Great fit. Snug on my bigger 7 year old. I measured his chest and ordered accordingly. This protective shirt replaces one with foam, flexible pieces that fell apart after only a few washes. This one is stiffer but seems like it would protect him well. And this one was half the price!

This shirt does the job. There?s a hard square plastic piece in the center of the shirt to protect the heart from direct impact. Iit gives the kids a little more confidence fielding ground balls because of the extra padding on the chest. I ordered a youth small for my 6 year old twins and the shirts were a little big. It didn?t fit as tight as a compression shirt but the kids are 49? and 60 pounds each.

She would never pitch with out one:) Wish they could make it in a tang top/racerback style so you can't see it under her uniform. I just cut it and do it myself to make her happy. Best heart-gard shirt.

So far so good, we ordered this as a precaution. Luckily he hasn't missed any so it hasn't been tested, which is a good thing. The product is well made and he says it comfortable.

The fit is true to size and seems to provide good coverage. However, therr is no way to remove the chest protector to wash the shirt.
