My seven year old just recently took an interest in catching this baseball season. However, he is small for his age and weighs only 40 lbs and is shorter than everyone his age. We spent hundreds on catching equipment that ended up being WAY too big and the quality was crap. We come upon this site and found this set for 1/4 of the cost we had already spent and thought ?what the heck?. I am SO GLAD we took the leap and ordered it. This equipment fit him perfect and adjusted to his size to way bigger. The quality is amazing. This certainly will last my little ball player a long time and it made a little boys dreams come true as he wanted to give up thinking he was just too small for the job. I would recommend this 1 million times again.

if you need an extra set for practice or back yard, this is fine. The Velcro straps seemed like a good idea, but once they get dirty they stick less, and if you're using different catchers throughout the game, you have to adjust more than the traditional buckle straps. The mask also fits weird on every catcher. Good spare set

The shin guards needed a buckle as opposed to the "quick change" technology. This set would be good for practice in the backyard, but not for game situations.

Velcro keeps coming undone. We can use the leg protector at all. Not worth the price.
